Description:

Watch. Nickel case made from stamped sheet of nickel. Opening, 0.96" diameter in center of one side. Raised edge around opening. Slight land or crystal missing. Opening at top of case for stem. Chapter ring stamped into metal around edge of opening. Roman numerals and minute ticks. Hinge near 9 o'clock position. Small rib around edge of case where side turns down to it. Back of case similar but without hole or decoration. Case halves snap together at their meeting edges. "22 1/2" stamped on back of case near hinge. Stem hole, 0.17" x 0.25" at its narrowest. Piece of loose red cloth inside case. Watch mechanism inside case. Dial diameter: 1.76". Weighs: 2.02 oz. Slightly convex porcelain dial, white with black Roman numerals. Minute ticks. Diamond-shape ticks at quarter hour. Crack leading from chip missing from dial between "12" and "1". Hands missing. Mechanisms slate diameter 1.56". Fusee in verge. Winding mechanism. Chain missing. Four cylindrical pillars between plates. Filigree balance wheel bridge. Brass adjusting lever. Graduated arc engraved for lever. "Slow" at one end and "Fast at other end of arc. Engraved on a portion of one plate in script: "A. B. Francis / LONDON 5194". Some decorations around edge of plate with name on it. "V" and three lines on side of plate near engraving.
