- Description:
- Iron hatchet head. Oval socket, deformed, 1.3" long. Striking surface on side of head, 1.2" high x 0.9" wide. Downward pointing cheeks on sides of oval socket. Top of blade surface straight. Outer cutting edge quite curved. Bottom edge of blade is straight, tapering upward to narrow area adjacent to socket. Surfaces are too pitted and corroded to determine configuration of blade.
