- Pillowcase of plain-woven fabric with a linen warp and cotton weft. Constructed of one width of fabric, folded in half and seamed selvedge-to-selvedge along one side. Open end is narrow-hemmed by hand; inked inscription ~5" from this end: "J Gordon / No. 4." The ink has run, so signature is not clear.
