Description:

Heel spikes, for climbing trees or poles. Pair of cast brass boot heel covers, each with one iron spike on exterior. Cast semicircular strip of brass with connecting point across the two flat edges near base. On one edge at base, bent and pointed steel spike or spur, 1.2" long, pointing downward. Two angled slots on opposite sides near front edge. Corner above angled steel piece cut off diagonally. Thicker, rectangular, cast-in sections on inside near cross bar and a single one at back bottom edge. Second attachment device essentially mirrors image of first one. Steel spike angled down a little bit more. Brown residues on outside where item may have rested in water. Outside surfaces are all a dark brown. A few small spots of green corrosion on each one.
