- Provenance:
- Family history suggests that these spoons originally belonged to Hannah (Hoit) Colby (1786-1866) of Concord, NH, but more likely they were made for her daughter, Ann Myra Colby (1812-1866), who married Albert Runnels in 1835. The Runnels resided in Boscawen. The spoons descended in the Colby family to Blanche A. Nelson (1880-1956) of Contoocook and Warner, the grand-daughter of Mahala (Colby) Holmes, who was the elder sister of Ann Myra Colby.
