- Description:
- Round box with cover. Paper-covered cardboard box, medium blue paper with large red, green, and white foliate design. Inside bottom of box lined with 1830 newspaper with notice of Republican Convention of Strafford County. Sides of box lined with an old letter with some writing showing, "July 23 1828 ---Perkins----". Cover also lined with part of a letter: "Written by --- Jewett for Matilda Howard --- April 3rd 1827." Box and cover hand sewn.
