- Tablespoon. Made by John Abbot, Jr. (1790-1850), Portsmouth, NH; c. 1810. Silver. Tapered handle with pointed end. Oval bowl with broad single drop. "J W" engraved in feathered script on front of handle. "J. ABBOT", upper case Roman letters, stamped in rectangle on reverse of handle.
