- Pillbox, rectangular. Wood and metal. Heavy black lacquer decoration. Heavy black lacquer on inside and outside surfaces. On bottom surface, slightly convex. Ends slightly bowed outward. Top slightly convex. Small rim on inside that protrudes from surface of top and rests tightly against inside front edge. Nickel-like alloy decorative band around edge on top. Decorative metal emblem in center of top. Internal steel hinge under lacquer of top edge which connects with back edge on inside. Almost continuous hinge along back edge of top.
