- Case, card, ivory, paper, nickel alloy, brass, wood, lacquer. Flat rectangle. Side edges all rounded. Base color black lacquer. Red, gold, and gray symmetrical design on both sides of case. Oval central design with larger oval around it. Circular and rectangular notches in outside edge of design. Symmetrical flourishes in corners. Many fanciful, symmetrical, floral-derived design elements throughout with red, gray, and gold colors intermixed. Small metal plaque on top, 0.57" long, 0.22" wide, silver and curved to match edge surface. Three-knuckle hinge, loose with shiny silver color. Push-button clasp on side opposite hinge. Ivory strips around edges of slots to finish them. Small piece missing from top. Red paper lining inside interior slot. Width of card slot: 2.28" and 0.23" in depth. Slot 2.8" deep in the base. Slot in top. 0.65". Printed cards, measuring: 3.33" x 1.66". "H.(?) Frances Morrison."
