Description:

Case, card, mother-of-pearl, wood, ivory, nickel alloy, velvet. Rectangular, flat box with mother-of-pearl diamonds on front and back surfaces. Edges, rectangular pieces of mother-of-pearl. Each side, larger diamond in center. The smaller diamonds make up pattern of three wide and four high. Smaller pieces around edge to fill in the spaces. Diamonds pass through opening between top and bottom. Ivory seen on both sides at opening edge. Larger diamond has small border around it and then on different mother-of-pearl material. Central piece in middle design, lighter color of mother-of pearl material. Floral design carved into central diamond with three blossoms surrounded by leaves and stems. Some straight dashed lines around edge of flowers at border. This design repeated on both sides. Small metal plaque top surface with rounded ends: 0.68" long, 0.14" wide. Inside case, slot lined with dark red to orange velvet. Useful slot: 2.17" long, 0.16" wide. At base, slot depth: 3". Top slot depth: 0.75". Four knuckle hinge at one edge. Push-button clasp on opposite edge. Small triangles in extreme corners on both sides with some of the darker mother-of-pearl in them. Rest of case surfaces, except for design, is whiter, pearlescent color.
