- Description:
- Box, snuff, shoe-shaped. Metal. Flat shoe shape with pointed toe. Thick steel sole with very short heel that curves upward to somewhat pointed front. Red paint missing from sole along one side and in some other small areas. Body of shoe dark-colored, thin sheet metal. Shoe top and sole soldered together but split along seam on left side near center. Top vertical seam at back of shoe. Hinged, flat cover with small soldered edge on inside. Three knuckle hinge. Thick layer of paint on top cover. Engraved fanciful floral design on it. Folded card inside: "Mrs. Bradfords / Snuff box".
