- Description:
- Box, trinket. Silver, round. Flattened sphere with integral cover. Small thumb tab to lift cover. Flush three-knuckle hinge for cover. Outside surface covered with symmetrical, fanciful design of abstract plant materials with small brown elements in them. Combination of patinated smooth surfaces surrounded by stippled silver surfaces. Inside of box gold-colored. Inside surface slightly shiny. Hallmark on inside of cover: "GK" in rectangle. Another hallmark in rectangle: "84" with a symbol. Hallmark in bottom surface: "GK" in a rectangle. Another one in an oval, "84" and a shape then "AA". Underneath that, still within oval: "1891". Adhesive label on bottom in pencil: "Kimball Coll".
