Radial grain traces in toe and heel surfaces. On left side is chamfer that starts in small notch about halfway up front, extends upward to square, front corner. Then it extends across top edge to square, back corner, down side where it terminates in small notch. Chamfer on right side mirrors that on left. Slight boat-tail heel end where top surface curves back towards center on both sides. On left side is a added piece across bottom edge that is 0.8" high, 0.25" thick and extends from front to back and is flush with toe and heel. It has chamfer across bottom edge and slight concave surface on top edge. Held in place by three, round-head slotted wood screws. Cutting pattern is large concave surface with small squarish notch at right side. Concave surface 0.15" deep. Right-hand bottom edge or plane has small chamfer from front to back and it leads into edge of cutting pattern. Blade stuck in place. Blade about 1.36" wide. Blade has central tang. Right-hand edge of blade is flush with right-hand side of plane and is beveled under to create cutting surface. Side of bed exposed on right side and exposure slot about 1.5" high.
