Description:

Hinge pintle, wrought iron, split-strap. Split, flat strap made of one piece of wrought iron. Pintle pin 0.37" diameter, 1.11" high. Part of fixed section of metal that expands to right and is split into two leaves. Both leaves 0.85" high at their upward ends. Space between them outer edges: 0.7". Two circular holes in each leaf. Hole at their apex where they are split apart. Outside edges roughly square; inside edges of leaves tapered towards center and back surface. As they exist now, leaves not in same plane. Lower leaf bent backwards about 0.8". Evidence of wear on pintle surface and around its base.
