- Description:
- Hinge pintle, split-strap, iron. Vertical pintle at end of an approximately 2.6" horizontal strap that splits at end to form a roughly semi-circular shape with open left side. Stock near pintle: 0.3" thick and tapers to 0.09" at ends of decorative straps. Three larger holes in straps near pintle and two smaller holes at ends of split straps. Larger holes approximately 0.3" diameter, smaller holes about 0.2" diameter. Some slight evidence of welds where straps split. Holes slightly convex on back sides of larger ones. Some chamfering with hammer around decorative edges of curved straps. Wear groove below pintle in heavy strap about 0.9" deep. Top of pintle slightly chamfered.
