- Description:
- Wrought iron strap hinge. Hinge wrapped around and welded on back. Weld on back about 3.8" long. Bar stock swells slightly about 1/3 to 1/2 of length, starts to taper down slowly to bean-style end. Height before bean 0.39". Bar stock thickness 0.41" near hinge to 0.2" about 2/3 of its length. Thickness greater before the bean design. Three uniform-size holes between hinge and 1/2-way point. Single, similar-size hole middle of bean. One small hole very close to first hole near hinge. Evidence of wear on bottom side of hinge. Sides of hinge are almost square. Front surface has slight wide chamfer from hinge about 3/4" way out to bean end. Evidence of a weld edge crack on bottom edge of strap.
