- Description:
- Die, wrought iron, possibly steel. Scrap of iron bent into U-shape with long arms. Appear to be some threaded die sections welded to inside of arms near open end. Hole at extreme ends of both arms where clamping bolt would be used; bolt missing. Some small threaded areas in two sets of matching grooves. Grooves opposite each other on inside surface of U-shaped section. Small depression on one side of matching grooves and on other side of tool on other matching grooves. Definite marks and slight delamination to indicate groove pieces probably different alloy from main body.
