- Lifter, for stove lids. Iron and steel. Long wire handle bent in narrow U-shape. Diameter of wire: 0.16". Wires cast into small cast iron lifting device. Lifting device has rectangular cross-section tab that bends downward, then back up with concave trough on top at front. Lettering cast into top of lifting device, three lines, worn: "PAT'D / [....2] / 1862". Numbers worn and subject to interpretation.
