- Description:
- Hatchet, watchmaker's. Steel and wood. Wood handle, oval cross-section, slightly swelled at bottom; inserted through hole in steel head. Several nails pounded into top of handle to keep it in place. Steel head, slightly tapered, square head on one side with chamfered edges. Face of hammer ~0.6" high x 0.5" wide. Blade side tapers slightly to become slightly curved cutting surface, 1.7" high. Outside surfaces of hammer head and blade are smooth. Blade tapers but edge not very sharp.
