- Description:
- Tooth extractor, turnkey. Steel and wood. Dark finish, turned-wood handle with slightly bulbous central section and two decoratively-turned wide grooves or concave areas at either end. Steel shaft passes through center of handle and is held by rivet, decorative washer, and larger curved washer. Steel shaft on opposite side, 5.3" long overall with some decorative turnings near top end. Extends near bottom where it turns almost 90 degrees with threaded, rounded base for clawed hook used to extract teeth. Flat claw with flat clawed hook, 1" wide x 0.15" thick at its end. Hook can rotate in its base. Some decorative grooves on base. Name on curved washer on handle; "O.W.R. EASTMAN. / PATENT."
