- Foundry tool, iron. Two shallow, cross-like working surfaces held together by oval, diagonal handle. Each surface consists of shallow, concave trough that is convex on its length. One trough 0.9" wide, other 0.6" wide. Outer ends slightly rounded. Concave surfaces smooth. Handle and back surfaces slightly rough and undulating.
