- Description:
- Foundry tool, steel. Double-tapered rectangular shaft connects to two right-angled box feet. Each foot consists of bottom surface that is almost a 90-degree angle of curvature. Surfaces that constitute box are thin and uniform. Toe surface square. Box at opposite end from toe tapers to form junction with rectangular shaft. Larger foot: 2.8" from toe to heel, 0.77" wide. Smaller foot: 2.7" from toe to heel, 0.52" wide. Looks like shaft and boxes were welded together somehow. After that joining process, outside surfaces were highly finished with very smooth surface. Some of surfaces almost reflective, but generally speaking, very fine, wire-brush surface. Name stamped on side of shaft at end with larger foot: "DOBSON". Inside surfaces of curves boxes slightly rough and have had some rusting in past.
