- Handle. Wooden, used for turning spinning wheel. Turned wood. Bulbous head that slightly tapers toward front. Smaller diameter shaft that gradually increases to 1" in diameter at handle. Paper tag attached around narrow section: "-FROM THE - / NEW HAMPSHIRE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, / 212 North Main Street, / CONCORD, N. H." In handwriting below it: "Loan for an indefinite / period by Mr. J. F. Terry". On other side: "Handle used wi turning / the Spinning wheel". In pencil: "F. P. 262 (in red) / L 1908.6.20". Paper grommet on label hole: "DENNISON'S / PAT'D / 60.74 / MANILA".
