- Description:
- Match holder, wooden. Front surface has chip-carved decorations around edges and front of match box area. Band of chip-carving across top edge of match box area. The downward curved front surface is left plain on front portion. A couple of chip-carved patterns along central axis that may represent some figure or symbol. Back surface is left plain but there are a few small indentations in wood on back. The depression for matches looks as if it was drilled out and excess material carved out by hand. Looks to be a drill guide hole and regular rounded surface on left bottom of match depressions.
